Projects

Considering the multiple operational areas, the projects can range from the artistic to the scientific, humanistic and ecological/environmental fields. The only condition is not to have political propaganda goals.

The Foundation promotes and plans its interventions through the support or disbursement of contributions, in favor of individuals or private groups. The latter propose projects promoted directly or in partnership with other non-profit organizations and/or social enterprises in the sectors of education and creative development, promoting economic developments in the social sphere.

Spring Academy Meeting – March 16, 2023

Locarno Film Festival @ Fondazione Majid

 

Spring Academy Event: 10-19 March, ‘23

Short films by Agnese Laposi, a candidate of the Majid Project 2022, were screened.

The 10 young filmmakers selected through an international call were present. They will create their own short film based on a reflection on the activation of the spectator’s role within the cinematographic work.

Young researcher who thanks to his talent has been selected from various exponents by the Majid Foundation, through the presentation of one of his projects, Long Term Accelerated Forgetting in Alzeimer’s disease and normal cognitive aging, supported by the University of Edinburgh.

Davide Montano

 

Young first-time writer, at his first literary experience who thanks to the intervention of the Majid Foundation managed to fulfill his dream of publishing an apologist, “Pitaya e i frutti del drago”, a metaphor for the precious moment of transition to adulthood.

What is a Multidisciplinary Residence Center ? It is a scouting project, looking for new talent, it provides support and accomodation for at least 10 days to guarantee time and space for their research and carry out their projects.

Can I apply?

Individuals or groups aged between 18 and 35 and who possess the eligibility characteristics can submit their application by sending a detailed report of their project.

The Scientific Committee of the Foundation will make a decision on the basis of the following criteria: relevance with the areas of intervention, effectiveness of the initiative in terms of generating results, adequacy and innovation of the actions, extent of the effects, financial strength of the initiative.

 

How?

The ideational projects must be accompanied by a detailed report, so that it highlights the general objectives. As well as the specific ones, the expected results, the direct and indirect beneficiaries and any commitments of national and local bodies and institutions.

Finally, the report must also describe the aspects that guarantee the sustainability of the project. The monitoring methods envisaged and a detailed overall financial plan.
